We are pleased to invite you to the first peer exchange session of the ENFP series on ethical questions in ICH safeguarding. This opening session will offer a broad introduction to the ethical challenges encountered in the field and an overview of the initial survey results collected across the ENFP network.

Kick-off with welcome remarks on the outline of current and upcoming sessions
10:10 – Survey Results Presentation
Overview of findings from the recent ENFP survey on ehtical challenges in ICH
10:30 – Thematic Breakout Sessions
Participants join breakout rooms organized by theme, where contributors share practical examples to spark peer learning and discussion
- Animal welfare
- Dialogue between bearers, public and the Authorised Heritage Discourse
- Lack of informed consent from communities/ commodification / cultural appropriation
- Nature based ICH
11:15 – Plenary Wrap-Up
Back to the main room for a collective reflection and reporting back from the breakout discussions
This session is co-hosted by Cristina Biasetto (Focal point – Austria), Joanne Orr (Falitator), and Jorijn Neyrinck (Facilitator), and is open to all ICH professionals and focal points interested in exploring ethical dilemmas in their work.
Whether you contributed to the survey or are simply curious to join the conversation, your participation is most welcome! This will be a valuable opportunity to learn from one another, exchange experiences, and strengthen our community of practice.
